What if I have a large amount of data to backup initially? |
The most time-consuming part of Offsite Backups, is the time it takes to get the first backup done. If your initial backup is too large to use your internet connection, Offsite Backup Vault can send you an external hard drive to perform the initial "seed" backup. In your Offsite Backup Vault Manager client, there is an option to run a seed backup to an external disk so that we can transfer the initial data into our vault without consuming bandwidth for a long period of time. After the seed load is complete, daily backups will transfer only block-level changes to existing files and new files when the backup job runs. This will decrease the backup job window tremendously.
